Using an HSA or FSA card

These work here. The practice is registered under the health practitioner category that benefits cards check, so an HSA or FSA card is accepted the same way any other card is.

One thing to know: a late cancellation or missed appointment fee is generally not a qualified medical expense, because no service was provided. Those are not paid through this page at all, and if you keep a card on file for them it should be an ordinary card rather than the benefits card.

Zelle is still the usual way

Nothing here replaces it. Zelle costs neither of us anything, a card costs the practice about 3%, and paying by card is offered because it suits some people rather than because it is preferred. Use whichever is easier for you.

What happens when you press one of those

You leave this website and finish on Stripe's own page, which is where the card details go. They do not pass through this site and I never see a card number. Stripe emails you the receipt.

Nothing about your care goes with it. The payment is described as professional services and carries no diagnosis, no procedure code, and no session detail, because a payment processor has no business holding any of that. The privacy page says more.

The charge will show on your statement under the practice name. If that matters to you, and for some people it very reasonably does, Zelle does not appear on a card statement at all.

What this page is not

  • Not a way to book. Scheduling is on the booking page.
  • Not where cancellation fees are paid. Those I raise directly, after telling you, and the fees page explains them.
  • Not a client portal. Nothing here shows a balance, a record, or a history, and there is nothing to log in to.
