Therapy that gets to work.

Telehealth therapy with Miles D. Kramer, LCSW, anywhere in Colorado or California. Sixty-minute sessions, one clinician, and a plan with a finish line.

Who tends to find their way here

Most of what I do is traditional therapy. I also provide specialized care to five groups of people who often struggle to find a therapist who understands what they are carrying.

You do not need to see yourself in one of these to call. Most people who do call are simply having a hard time, and we work out together what would help. These are not doors you have to pick between; they are the people who tend to find their way here.

General therapy

Depression, trauma and PTSD, stress and burnout, relationship and family difficulty, transitions and grief. Adults and adolescents, seen individually.

First responders

Over a decade in correctional health, patrol/co-responder services, law enforcement academy, and mental health crisis management training across the Western US. Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and aftercare for public safety and healthcare agencies.

Executives, clinicians and healthcare leaders

A career spent leading and mentoring executives, physicians, clinical leaders, and providers. Work that assumes your competence rather than treating it as a symptom.

Parents of children with autism

I am the parent of two children with autism. This is here because I have lived the thing you are describing, not read about it. I understand life on “Planet Autism” and everything it means to live there.

Men's issues

Sex, sexuality, shame, anger, rejection, loneliness, relationships, competition, money, failure. Some things guys would just rather work on with another guy.

Parents of a child with serious mental illness

Whether your child is 14 or 66. Grounded in years spent in inpatient psychiatric, emergency, correctional, and forensic settings, where mental illness is at its most acute. I can help you navigate what’s going on with your child and the impacts their illness has on you and your family.

How I work

I take a patient-centered, solutions-focused approach, informed by CBT, ACT, and Narrative Therapy, but I also provide education and resources to help you understand your challenges and build skills you can use long-term.

If you are not sure which description fits, call or text and we can set up a short introductory call at no charge. When we then meet for a first session, we will review your goals and challenges and develop a plan to address them. We will go over costs, how long we want to work together, and clearly define when we will consider our work complete.

Everyone can benefit from therapy

Some people come because they are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or another recognizable condition. Others come because life has gotten complicated: a marriage in trouble, a career that once mattered and now does not, a parent dying, a child struggling, a retirement that felt nothing like it was supposed to. Often, we come into therapy because we either don’t recognize the person in the mirror, or we do, and we no longer like them.

None of that necessarily means you are mentally ill. It means something is not working. That is enough.

Starting is a conversation, not an intake

There is no intake form, no scheduling widget, and no analytics, on purpose: nothing you tell me should be sitting on a web server. If it is easier than calling, the contact form asks for your name and one way to reach you. Nothing is stored on the website: it becomes an email in my inbox, and that is the only copy. Text, email, or use the form, and we will set up a brief conversation to see whether this is the right fit.
